As part of this evolution, we’re looking for a District Support Services Manager to join our operations team.The District Support Services Manager is an integral part of the Veteran Services portfolio and management team, leading a diverse set of teams aiming to assist in the delivery of the RSL Queensland Mission and Objects.The duties for this role will include but not be limited to:The effective leadership of teams by inspiring, driving and enabling employees towards achieving the delivery of key responsibilities and team goals;Provide strong management support, guidance and feedback to enable and empower team members to deliver to a high standard in their roles;Identifying and providing development opportunities for career/professional development, upskilling or closing skills gaps purposes;Fostering a positive, inclusive and collaborative team culture with specific consideration for the challenges associated with a remote workforce;Participating in business planning activities to set the direction of the Support Services function;Building strong and credible working relationships with District Presidents;Effectively handle and/or provide guidance on any escalated issues raised by the team;Provide guidance and advice to the team on organisational policies and procedures. The successful candidate will demonstrate:Relevant qualification in management, administration, business or similar field;5+ years of staff management experience;Proven exceptional leadership and managerial capability with staff in a regionally based team;Demonstrated ability to effectively and skilfully manage a team to deliver their objectives to a high quality and with excellent customer service/satisfaction;Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;Ability to coach, mentor and, where required;Demonstrated ability to build strong and credible relationships, interact and negotiate with a broad range of stakeholdersAbility to maintain confidentiality and privacy of informationCurrent open Australian drivers licence;Ability to travel intrastate.If you want to work for an organisation that gives back to the community, which focuses on professional development and a real work life balance then we would love to hear from you.
